Germany internationals Amiri & Burkardt sustain injuries

Nadiem Amiri and Jonny Burkardt’s participation in the Germany national team squad are to be short-lived this time around. Amiri had to return home early on Saturday due to adductor problems. On Sunday, Burkardt then suffered a laceration to his heel in training, which required stitches. His international expedition will also have to be ended prematurely as both are set to miss Germany’s Nations League semi-final clash with Portugal on Wednesday (4th June) as well as the side’s fixture on Sunday (8th June: either final or third-place play-off).
