Mainz 05 sign Benedict Hollerbach

24-year-old forward puts pen to paper on four-year deal

Hollerbach ventured out onto the MEWA ARENA field on Friday afternoon.

1. FSV Mainz 05 have signed Benedict Hollerbach from 1. FC Union Berlin. The 24-year-old forward has put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the 05ers until 2029. The two clubs have agreed that details regarding the transfer shall remain undisclosed.

Hollerbach was born in Starnberg before receiving his footballing education in the academies of FC Bayern München and VfB Stuttgart. For the past couple of seasons, he wore the colours of the Köpenick club, making 62 Bundesliga appearances during this period (14 goals, three assists). Prior to this spell, he had three years with German third-tier side SV Wehen Wiesbaden, for whom he featured 104 times in competitive action, scoring on 24 occasions while providing a further 15 assists.
