Schopp loaned out to TSV Hartberg
21-year-old centre-back will play in the Austrian Bundesliga until the end of the season
Konstantin Schopp has joined TSV Hartberg on loan for the remainder of the campaign. The 21-year-old centre-back will play for the side currently sitting fourth in the Austrian Bundesliga until the summer.
The Austria U21 international arrived in Mainz on a free transfer from Sturm Graz at the start of the season and has featured 11 times for the 05ers’ U23 side since (one goal, one assist).
Mainz 05 sporting director Niko Bungert: “We had the idea for a while to loan out Konstantin during the January window for some time, in order to afford match practice at a very good level. We are pleased about this chance for him to take the next step at TSV Hartberg before returning to Bruchweg in the summer.”
