Schopp to remain on loan at TSV Hartberg

The Austrian spent the second half of last season on loan at Hartberg.

Konstantin Schopp (pictured in the background in the red shirt) has featured 11 times for the Mainz U23s in the Regionalliga Südwest.

Konstantin Schopp will remain on loan at Austrian side TSV Hartberg for the upcoming season. The two clubs reached an agreement that will keep the 20-year-old centre-back at the club for an additional year.

“Konstantin is a talented centre-back prospect,” said FSV sporting director Niko Bungert. “We are convinced that he has all the qualities needed to establish himself in the German Bundesliga in the future. At the moment, it’s important that he is able to see as much playing time as possible at the highest level possible. TSV Hartberg allow for just that, and we’re convinced that Konstantin will return back to Mainz next summer having grown as a player.”
