Jenz to miss the remainder of the season; Da Costa sidelined with injury

Moritz Jenz underwent a surgical procedure on his nose on Monday, following consultation with 1. FSV Mainz 05's medical staff. The procedure is necessary to improve Jenz's ability to breath, which had been increasingly restricted following a nasal fracture that the defender suffered last year. The 26-year-old will therefore miss the remainder of the season. 

Danny da Costa picked up a muscle strain in his left hamstring during Sunday's home game against Eintracht Frankfurt. The defender will therefore be sidelined for the time being, with a return to team training dependent on his healing process.
