JAKO 2026/27 home kit: subtle Mainz details define new jersey

Supporters who appreciate a minimalist, elegant design will be delighted with the new JAKO home shirt for the 2026/27 season. Mainz 05’s new shirt avoids bold, eye-catching designs, instead incorporating classic elements of the club and the city of Mainz into the fabric.

The JAKO home shirt, which is almost entirely in Mainz 05’s signature red, features the Mainz 05 logo, the 05 lettering, the letter M in the club’s own typeface and the Mainz city coat of arms with its double wheel embossed into the base fabric. The symbols, which connect the Golden City with its Bundesliga club, are arranged in a diamond grid pattern.

The JAKO home shirt is rounded off with white fabric details on the sleeves and hem, while the cuffs and collar are also finished in white. Of course, the Mainz 05 logo as a high-quality embroidered patch on the chest, the JAKO dots on the shoulders and the Mainz city coat of arms on the back of the neck are all included. As a tribute to the “Golden City”, gold details have once again been incorporated into the lettering and numbering for the coming season. Main sponsor and shirt sponsor KÖMMERLING, as well as sleeve sponsor iDM, are also represented on the shirt with their logos.

Sustainably produced textiles

Together with kit supplier JAKO, Mainz 05 is committed to sustainably produced textiles. The high-quality, soft fabric is made from 100 percent recycled polyester and combines maximum comfort with breathability and optimal moisture management.

The shirt is available now from the Mainz 05 fan shops at the MEWA ARENA and in Mainz city centre (Seppel-Glückert-Passage), as well as online at shop.mainz05.de. It is offered in three fits: as a classic shirt model, as a slightly more tailored women’s shirt and as a kids’ shirt. Sizes range from S to 5XL, from 34 to 44 for women’s sizes and from 116 to 164 for kids’ shirts. As last year, the new JAKO home shirt costs €84.95, while kids’ shirts are available from €64.95. Members of 1. FSV Mainz 05 receive a 10 percent discount on the retail price. Goalkeeper shirts are also available to buy. These also feature the embossed Mainz symbols and come in the familiar turquoise colour. Long-sleeved shirts are available now in the online shop and will be on sale in the Mainz 05 fan shops from the middle of next week.

The professional players will wear the new JAKO home jersey for the first time in the 05ER club partner friendly against TSG Pfeddersheim (Saturday, July 4). A limited number of the new jerseys will also be available for purchase at the 05ER fan mobile.

Mainz 05 Women’s Bundesliga shirt now available

Anyone wishing to support the Mainz 05 women’s team in the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga can now do so in their own shirt this season. For the first time, 1. FSV Mainz 05 is offering the women’s team shirt for sale, featuring its own front-of-shirt and sleeve sponsors. It will be available from the start of the 05ERINNEN’s Bundesliga season in mid-August in the Mainz 05 fan shops and online at shop.mainz05.de for €84.95.
