Ben Bobzien joins Dynamo Dresden on loan

Ben Bobzien has joined Dynamo Dresden on loan for the remainder of the season, following an agreement between 1. FSV Mainz 05, the 22-year-old striker and the second-division side. Bobzien became a 05er at the age of eleven, before rising up through the youth system and signing his first professional contract in 2021. After a strong season on loan at Austria Klagenfurt, the striker returned to Mainz and was handed both his Bundesliga and European debuts for the club, taking him up to six appearances for Mainz’s first team.

Sporting director Niko Bungert said: “We granted Ben his wish to go out on loan and get more game time than would likely be possible here due to the strong competition we have in our attack. We wish him all the best in his new endeavour.”
