Trip to Czechia too early for Amiri and Bell – Caci completes parts of team training

Anthony Caci took part in sections of Wednesday's session after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

FSV are set to meet SK Sigma Olomouc on Thursday evening (21:00) in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League round-of-16 tie. The 05ers had their final training session on Wednesday afternoon, before heading to the airport to catch their flight to Brno. After landing, the players, coaches, club staff, media representatives, sponsors and all other passengers can look forward to an hour-long bus journey to Olomouc. Head coach Urs Fischer and Phillip Tietz are set to hold a press conference in the evening, once everyone has arrived.

A number of players will not be there to experience the club’s first ever European knockout game. Nadiem Amiri, Sheraldo Becker (could not be registered for the UECL squad), Stefan Bell, Anthony Caci (took part in sections of Wednesday’s training session), Andreas Hanche-Olsen, Benedict Hollerbach and Robin Zentner are all set to miss out on the trip to Czechia. The second leg of the tie is set to be played back in Mainz at the MEWA ARENA on Thursday 19th March.
