The region’s defining elements woven into the fabric

Anyone who has ever strolled through Mainz will inevitably have come into contact with sandstone and slate. These two types of stone, which give the architecture of the Golden City on the Rhine its distinctive character, can be found throughout Mainz in its walls and on its roofs: in the state parliament, the theatre and the venerable Mainz Cathedral. And from this summer, they also feature as a colour tribute to two elements that define the region on 1. FSV Mainz 05’s new JAKO third kit: bold anthracite meets sandstone-coloured accents. The new JAKO third kit brings the defining materials of the city of Mainz onto the Bundesliga stage!

The base fabric combines various shades of anthracite in graphic elements that give the entire JAKO shirt a stylish, three-dimensional look. An additional jacquard pattern also gives the shirt its characteristic slate texture. Sandstone-coloured accents on the soft-stretch V-neck collar and cuffs provide visual contrast. The logos and dots of kit supplier JAKO, Mainz 05’s main and shirt sponsor Kömmerling, sleeve sponsor IDM and the club itself are also finished in sandstone tones, subtly rounding off the shirt design. The Mainz city crest is, of course, also featured on the back of the neck.

Like all JAKO shirts, the 2026/27 third kit combines functionality with sustainability. The polyester used in the shirt is made from 100 percent recycled material. The pleasantly soft fabric is also breathable and offers optimal moisture management.

The shirt is available now from the online shop as a classic model in sizes S to 5XL, as a women’s model in sizes 34 to 44 for €84.95, and as a long-sleeved model for €94.95. Kids’ shirts are available in sizes 116 to 164 for €64.95. FSV members receive a 10 percent discount on the shirt price.
