Maxim Dal suffers ACL tear

19-year-old set to be sidelined for several months

Maxim Dal suffered an ACL tear in his left knee in first-team training on Wednesday, meaning the 19-year-old will be out of action for several months. His recovery schedule will be determined following discussion with the Mainz 05 medical department.

Mainz 05 sporting director Niko Bungert: "We will support Maxim in every way we can in order to get him back on a football pitch as soon as possible. We believe in Maxim and wish him a speedy recovery."
