"...it was like a constant adrenaline rush"
Reactions after the 05ers secured their place in the league phase of Conference League.

FSV 4-1 Rosenborg
Nelson Weiper: "Today was a great day for me. Just like everyone else, I also wanted to give it my all and help the team. We were in it right from the start, together with our fans – it was great fun. I'm happy to be in Mainz, to have extended my contract and that everything has worked out."
Stefan Bell: “We were absolutely brutal going forwards right from the off, which is exactly what we wanted to do. We wanted to be dominant and play in their half as much as possible. We then took the lead which was exactly what we needed. I then gifted them their equaliser shortly after, with that being the only time we let them in behind us. That was pretty disappointing for me personally. We pushed even harder for the next goal after that, with the 3-1 lead being key. The challenge for us now is to maintain this rhythm and intensity throughout the season. We’ve got lots of experts in that field and nobody is complaining about playing extra games. It’s a fantastic opportunity.
Danny da Costa: "We wanted to send a message right from the start, which we managed to do. You could sense that the entire team wanted to do better than in the first leg. Tonight was incredible. We'll be part of the draw tomorrow and will see what happens – we've earned this moment. Today, we didn't leave room for any doubts. This is the loudest atmosphere I've ever experienced during my time here; it was like a constant adrenaline rush. With a crowd like that behind us, we're capable of beating any opponent. Now, we need to recover and focus on Wolfsburg. But, we still have some time to enjoy the moment until tomorrow."
Niko Bungert: "We're extremely happy; it's a euphoric moment. The lads have earned their spot in the group stage. It was also clear to see after the game what it meant to the fans. We can look forward to some exciting away games and I think that we proved that we're also capable of creating a special atmosphere at home. It's impressive to see what we've been able to create here over the last two years. Today was yet another highlight for us. The team and the fans help push each other on – tonight was a fantastic night for every Mainz fan. We want to carry this momentum into our upcoming games. We will need to build on this attacking performance."
