Niko Bungert: “It feels amazing and gives us a real boost, especially after the last few games, in which we haven’t done as well as we should have. We haven’t let things affect us, which you could see in that performance – it’s a fantastic feeling. You are measured by the goals you score, and we showed today that we have the quality to create chances and score goals. Armindo helped us immensely today and caused their three big centre-backs a lot of problems. We didn’t really make too many changes, but were rather more clear and resolute in the way we entered into our duels.”

Armindo Sieb: “I’m really happy and feel I earned my goal today. The boss spoke to me throughout the week and told me I’d be starting, which obviously makes preparing for the game slightly different. I was tasked with keeping the ball up high and annoying the opposition, which I managed quite well and as a result, we won a lot of second balls. I’ve worked really hard on my fitness and my body in the last few months, in order to achieve both my own and the team’s goals. That’s just part of the game and you can see the results on the pitch. The first win has made us all very happy, especially considering the first three games, where we didn’t do as well as we would have liked. Today, we showed what we’re capable of.”

Kaishu Sano: “I played how I always play and was fortunate enough to help the team with a goal. That makes me really happy. Scoring isn’t my main job – it’s always about working hard on the training pitch and especially in matches. We’re in three competitions and want to be successful, and I want to contribute to that as much as possible this season.”
