Ben Bobzien extends contract until 2027

Ben Bobzien extended his contract with 1. FSV Mainz 05 by one year until 2027 on Tuesday. The 22-year-old forward, who came through the club’s youth academy, played 34 competitive matches on loan at Austrian Bundesliga side SK Austria Klagenfurt last season, scoring twelve goals and providing two assists.

“Ben has established himself as a regular starter for his clubs over the past two seasons in Austria, and most recently in Klagenfurt, he made another significant step in his development. We have, of course, been keeping a close eye on him and are excited to offer him the opportunity to continue proving himself in our team and further showcase his potential for the Bundesliga,” said Mainz 05 sporting director Niko Bungert.
