The killer blow from set pieces
Both managers gave their thoughts after FSV's home defeat to FC Union Berlin.
Sandro Schwarz: “Congratulations to Urs. We didn’t start well and had problems for the first fifteen minutes. Then we had a good period, in which we could have taken the lead. Then, we conceded during this good period and had a chance to equalise through Robin Quaison just after their goal. They delivered the killer blow with two quick goals from set pieces. It took us to long to started believing that we could get a result. We were brave at the end but in the end we deserved to lose.”
Urs Fischer: “When you win, the post-match talk is of course very positive. We played well for 60 minutes. We did everything right and deserved to go in front. Then there were the 30 minutes, in which it was clear how quickly things can change in football. The things that were going right before, were now going wrong. It was very hectic and at the end we were lucky to come out of it winning 3-2, because the equaliser just didn’t come for them. We had luck on our side today.”
