Nebel to stay at KSC for another year
Heidel: “We believe that a further year in the second division will have a positive effect on his development”

Paul Nebel will continue to play for Karlsruhe SC in the coming season. The original one-year loan deal for the 20-year-old to the second division side will be extended a further year to the end of the 2023/24 season. Nebel remains a Zerofiver, however, and his contract with FSV was also extended a year to 2025.
We believe that a further year in the second division will have a positive effect on his development
“The loan to Karlsruhe has brought Paul exactly what we had hoped for: he has developed immensely and was even able to establish himself as a regular player at KSC. Paul has now approached us with the wish to extend the loan by one year. We are happy to comply with this request, because we believe that a further year in the second division will have a positive effect on his development. We wish Paul all the best for the coming season,” said Mainz’s sporting director Christian Heidel.
