Nebel to join Karlsruher SC on loan
Heidel: The right step to get the game time he needs
Paul Nebel will spend the 2022/23 season on loan at Karlsruher SC. The Baden-Württemberg side do not have an option to sign the player permanently, but the 19-year-old academy graduate will look to the 2. Bundesliga to gain some match practice.
“For young talents like Paul, it’s important for them to play as much as possible in their development phase. That’s why we think a loan to the second division and KSC is the right step to get him the game time he needs. Both Stefan Bell and Robin Zentner are examples of how much good a loan move can do, in order to get game time and return to Mainz in the Bundesliga as a better player and ready to go forward. We loaned Paul without an option to buy because we believe in his talent and want to see him develop like Bello and Robin,” said the Zerofivers’ sporting director, Christian Heidel.
