Lots of minutes for internationals
The weekend was a very successful one for the Zerofivers playing abroad, with none of the players being defeated in their games.
Jean-Philippe Gbamin and the Ivory Coast beat the Comoros Islands 3-1 and the Zerofiver played 74 minutes of the game. In the EURO qualifiers, Robin Quaison set Sweden off to a great start as he put them 1-0 against Malta, with the game ending 3-0 to the Swedes. Karim Onisiwo and Austria narrowly won 1-0 against Slovenia. Leandro Barreiro played the full 90 minutes for Luxembourg as they drew 1-1 with Lithuania. Romania and Alexandru Maxim, who scored, drew 2-2 with Norway. On Sunday, Pierre Kunde Malong played 90 minutes for Cameroon in a 2-1 friendly victory over Zambia.
On Monday, Leandro and Quaison both played 90 minutes as Luxembourg lost 1-0 and Sweden lost 3-0. Alexandru Maxim and Romania had a better result as they beat Malta 4-0. Karim Onisiwo was on the bench as Austria beat Macedonia 4-1.
On Tuesday, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Moussa Niakhaté will be in action with the France U21s as they play a friendly in Austria.
