Dahmen and Burkardt qualify with U21 / Szalai scores twice / Luxembourg trio win in Ireland

Jonathan Burkhardt and Finn Dahmen have qualified for the quarter-finals of the U21 European Championship with the German U21 national team. Luxembourg trio victorious with national team
Leandro Barreiro, who like U23 player Florian Bohnert and U19 player Timothé Rupil was called up to Luxembourg's senior national team, was on the pitch for the full duration of the match in the 1-0 victory in the World Cup qualifier against Ireland. Quaison replaces Ibrahimovic
Striker Karim Onisiwo also gained international match practice during the international break: In Austria's 3-1 victory in the World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands, coach Franco Foda brought on the 29-year-old after 76 minutes for TSG Hoffenheim professional Christoph Baumgartner. Onisiwo did not play against Denmark (0-4).
05 striker Robin Quaison, was brought on for Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the closing stages of Sweden's 1-0 win over Georgia, and the 27-year-old replaced Alexander Isak on 68 minutes in the 3-0 away win over Kosovo. In the friendly match against Estonia (1-0), the 05 attacker was given another 90 minutes of match time.
Szalai scores twice
Ádám Szalai also had a successful start into the first international period of the year: The 33-year-old captain of the Hungarian national team was in the starting eleven in both World Cup qualifiers against Poland (3-3) and San Marino (3-0) and scored one goal each. Szalai also played against Andorra (4-1).
Meanwhile, midfielder Pierre Kunde Malong played for Cameroon in their 3-1 defeat to Cape Verde in the Africa Cup qualifier, but the 25-year-old made his presence felt with a dream free-kick to take the lead. Last night, Cameroon hosted the national team of Rwanda. In the goalless draw, Kunde once again played the entire match.
