Eleven players called up over international break
Mainz 05 players to face each other in France vs. Germany game
Eleven players in total will leave Mainz 05 after the game against FC Bayern München to join up with their respective national teams.
Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Pierre Kunde Malong will be playing in the AFCON 2019 qualifiers for the Ivory Coast and Cameroon respectively (Ivory Coast vs. Rwanda and Cameroon vs. Comoros, both 23/03/19). Gbamin and the Ivory Coast will also play in a friendly against Liberia on Tuesday 26th March.
Robin Quaison and Leandro Barreiro will play in qualifiers for the 2020 Euros. Barreiro and Luxembourg will take on Lithuania (22nd March) and against Ukraine (25th March). Robin Quaison and Sweden will be playing against Romania (23rd March) and Norway (26th March). Karim Onisiwo is on standby for Austria.
Zerofivers to play each other during France and Germany game
Jean-Philippe Mateta and Moussa Niakhaté will face Levin Öztunali and Florian Müller as France U21s will take on Germany U21s in a friendly (21st March). France will also play against Denmark on the 24th March, whilst Germany will play in a friendly against England (26th March) in Bournemouth. Aaron Martin and the Spain U21s will face Romania on the 21st March and Austria (25th March).
Ridle Baku and the Germany U20s will play two friendlies; against Portugal (22nd March) and Poland (26th March), whilst Jonathan Burkardt and Germany U19s will play in a tournament. Croatia, Norway and Hungary will all take part.
