Brosinski signs a new contract running until 2022
Schröder: "Daniel is one of the faces of our team"
Daniel Brosinski has signed a contract extension at 1. FSV Mainz 05 running until 2022. The 32-year-old full-back, who has been a Zerofiver since 2014, has played 190 times for Mainz. As a member of the team council and vice-captain, Brosinski is a key member at the club.
“Daniel Brosinski has proven his value to the club over a number of years in the Bundesliga. He possesses a huge amount of experience, is top fit and is always willing to give his all for the club on the pitch. Daniel also plays a key part in the squad, even when he isn’t in the starting XI. We had some good conversations in the past weeks, which were about identification and responsibility. Daniel is one of the key faces of our team, the club and the way we want to fight in every game, so we’re pleased that Brosi will be a part of Mainz 05 for the next two years,” said sporting director Rouven Schröder.
Brosinski commented: “I’m pleased to still be a part of Mainz 05. I’m really happy here and after six years, this has become my sporting home. We have experienced a lot together, had a lot of battles and celebrated a number of wins and great moments. I will continue to give my all for the team and our fans on and off the pitch in the next two years.”
